Cue CLI command reference

This page lists every top-level cue command and its subcommands, grouped by what you want to do. It is taken from the help text of the installed Cue CLI (build 2026.9.28). Commands change between versions, so your own terminal is the final word:

Options for every command

Put these before the command name, for example cue --profile <account> wallet balance.

Run cue with no command to start an interactive conversation with Cue in the current folder.

cue diagnostics

Create sanitized support diagnostics.

cue commands

List top-level commands for discovery. Also available as cue command.

Chat with Cue and run tasks

Run Cue once or keep a session going, and see what it did while you were away.

cue run

Run agent with a prompt, optionally relay response to channel targets.

cue exec

Run a one-shot agent prompt as a shell helper for scripts and other tools.

cue session

Start, manage, message, and read local Cue sessions. Also available as cue sessions.

`cue session start [prompt]`	Start a native Cue session that keeps working after the terminal closes.
`cue session status [id-or-name]`	Show background sessions and their latest turn status.
`cue session peek <id-or-name>`	Read recent activity and the last reply without starting a turn.
`cue session reply <id-or-name> <text>`	Send a follow-up to a background session; steer it if already working.
`cue session stop <id-or-name>`	Stop the owned background worker and preserve its conversation.
`cue session interrupt <id-or-name>`	Interrupt current work while keeping the session open.
`cue session resume <id-or-name> [prompt]`	Reopen a stopped background session with its stored conversation.
`cue session wait <id-or-name>`	Wait once for a turn result without prompting the agent.
