Weather

Weather on Cue OS gives Cue and you the conditions and forecast for a place. Cue CLI looks a place up by name or by coordinates and prints the weather in plain text.

What you can do

• Check the conditions now: sky, temperature, humidity, wind, and rain.
• Get a daily forecast for up to seven days, or an hourly one.
• Tell apart places that share a name, such as the many towns called Springfield.

On the web

Cue OS has no weather page on the web. Use Cue CLI below.

On iPhone and Android

The iPhone and Android apps are coming; store review is pending. You can use Cue OS in your phone browser now. Weather is a Cue CLI command.

With Cue CLI

1. Set up Cue CLI. Weather does not need you to sign in.

2. Check the weather now, or a forecast of 1 to 7 days:

   cue weather current "San Francisco, CA"
   cue weather forecast "San Francisco, CA" --days 3
   cue weather hourly "San Francisco, CA" --days 2

3. If a name matches more than one place, list the matches with their coordinates:

   cue weather lookup "Springfield"

4. Use coordinates for an exact spot. --name sets the label, and --units us or --units metric sets the units:

   cue weather current --lat 37.7749 --lon -122.4194 --name "San Francisco, CA" --units us

Add --json to any of these when a script needs the result.

Limits today

• Check the place name on the first line of the answer. A short name can match a different town.
• Units follow the place unless you set --units.
• Forecasts change and may not match conditions at your exact spot.
• A request can fail now and then; run it again.
• This is not an emergency alert service.
